This home was built in 1924, in the heyday of the Roaring
20s, complete with the richness of detail and luxury appointments
common to the showplaces being built by visitors from the North.
It has been in
the same family since 1949 and was always used as the vacation home by the
extended family. As members married and brought children of their own, spaces
became smaller and makeshift arrangements became permanent. Recently, the
owners decided that they would like to enlarge and update the residence
to reflect current luxury standards but stay within the context of the original
style. Incorporated in that vision, there were many challenges that needed
solutions.
